Trust Welcomes TV & Music Celebs as Ambassadors

Two dynamic new Ambassadors have joined the Trust team.  Along with her television achievements, BBC presenter Dr Shini Somara (right) is a ballerina, engineer, aerobics instructor, model and mountaineer. Pop sensation Jaya (left) is recording hit after hit in between show-stopping performances.

Abdul Can See the Colour of the World Again

Abdul Jabbar ignored his deteriorating eyesight until he became blind. He had no money for treatment. No longer able to work, Abdul became a burden on his elderly father. Then he discovered the Layton Rahmutalla Benevolent Trust (LRBT), a Trust charity partner providing free eyecare in Pakistan. Surgery was performed at LRBT’s Rashidabad site. “I am so happy to see the colour of the world again,” he said when his bandage was removed. “LRBT is a great blessing.”
